Website refresh - Oast Farm, Buxted

Having the right photos on your website can make all the difference when it comes to first impressions and the general idea you want to give people about your business.  Whether it's a gallery showing what you have to offer or a great attention grabbing home page background, good quality photos make your website look professional and are essential to your brand.

Oast Farm in Buxted (a favourite regular haunt of mine) recently revamped their website and wanted some new photos to go with it to show off their gorgeous fruit farm, shop and cafe.  I spent a lovely morning wandering around the orchards and soaking up the friendly atmosphere in the cafe and farm shop, capturing the details and overall feel of the place.  I'm pleased to say Oast Farm were delighted with their new photos and we had them up on the website over the weekend.  I think it looks great with a more professional finish and a bit more vibrancy giving a truer account of how the place really is.

Here are a just a few examples showing the difference in similar gallery photos before and after hiring Bexphoto.

Although there's nothing wrong with the original photos, I think it shows that composition, lighting, colour and little details can make all the difference to the overall look of the gallery:

Oast Farm Buxted

If you read Olive Dragonfly Blog, you'll know how much we love Oast Farm Cafe in Buxted.  We spend a lot of time down there relaxing in the cafe, the food is delicious and all locally sourced with the ingredients also being available to purchase in their gorgeous farm shop.  The ladies who run the cafe are so lovely, we always feel like we're visiting friends whether we're popping in for coffee and a flapjack (the twins' favourite) or brunch.

If you head to their website now, you'll see they have some new photos, taken by yours truly, showing off their gorgeous farm, shop and cafe and all the things they have to offer.  Here are a few of my favourites from a morning spent wandering around the farm in dew soaked grass and glorious sunshine (and a couple from last weekend when we took Gemma there for brunch).

Family Session in the woods - Sneaky Peek

I loved being able to spend some time with one of my best friends this weekend and when her husband came down to collect her and baby Alasdair, we took the opportunity to get some family photos of them all while on a walk in the woods.  Her husband isn't a fan of having his photo taken so I'm pleased to have managed some more relaxed looking shots of them all.  Hopefully he will like them and be able to look back fondly on some family photos with all three of them in years to come.

I adore his little blond curls and that muddy bottom!  I can't wait to sort through the rest of this mini session.

Into The Trees Festival

On Sunday we had the pleasure of attending Into The Trees, a daytime only festival run by the team behind Elderflower Fields.  I've reviewed the event on Olive Dragonfly blog but I wanted to share a few of my favourite photos here too.  We had so much fun squelching in the mud, crafting, exploring, pond dipping and having all sorts of adventures at Pippingford Park in Ashdown Forest.  I highly recommend it.

Laura & Zachary - Newborn Session

Spending a morning with Laura and her 15 day old son, Zachary, was such a privilege.  I feel honoured to have been able to record these precious moments of his early days and I cannot wait to do more.  Even after just one session, I'm even more excited about my new venture offering family sessions and the best thing is, I get to do this all again for Laura soon with the rest of her family joining in too!
Thank you Laura for trusting me to capture you with your son, you are both utterly gorgeous and were so relaxed, it was a joy to photograph you.  I hope you love your photos!
